Fire Alarm and Access Control Technician

As a Fire Alarm and Access Control Technician here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our customers' buildings. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting fire alarm and access control systems. Your expertise will help protect lives and property by ensuring that these systems are functioning properly and meeting industry standards.
You will report directly to our Technical Manager and you'll work out of our [City, State] location on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the safety and security of buildings by ensuring that fire alarm and access control systems are installed and maintained correctly. You will also provide technical support to customers and collaborate with other team members to deliver high-quality solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Install, program, and test fire alarm and access control systems according to specifications and industry standards.

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections of fire alarm and access control systems to ensure proper functioning.

• Troubleshoot and repair system malfunctions and perform necessary repairs or replacements.

• Provide technical support to customers and assist with system upgrades or expansions.

• Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality solutions and meet customer requirements.

YOU MUST HAVE

• High School Diploma or GED

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in field service or a related technical role

• Strong technical knowledge and expertise in advanced systems and equipment

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

WE VALUE

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical field

• Previous leadership or mentoring experience

• Industry certifications NICET Level 2 for Fire Alarms applications

• Experience with Honeywell products and systems
