    Job Description Job Summary:
    The Product
    • Systems Testing NG
    • Consultant II coordinates and participates in project reviews, revisions, production problem corrections, enhancements, and usability testing of any functionality required to administer policy sales and servicing while also working with the Business and Development teams.

    Provides expert business knowledge and technical support to successfully implement system changes in the comprehensive policy and agency management system to comply with filed programs for multiple states, companies, products and lines of business.

    Guides and oversees workflow of other analysts when needed.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Prepares test plans and scenarios for usability testing, executes test scenarios, approves project implementation and verifies the production output upon implementation Verifies the accuracy of new states and products, rate revisions, projects, and production problem corrections, to ensure a quality productWorks with the business group and developer to ensure a common, consistent product for all states, products and lines of business for internal and external system customersDocuments requirements and software defects and works with business users, business analysts, and developers for quality assuranceProvides support to other areas including researching additional factors for overall impact affecting a cost benefit analysis and other analytic or diagnostic services that support decision makingDetermines impact of issues on the business units, develops alternative work processes until issues are resolved, works with developer to recreate problem and recommends solutionBuilds a library of reusable testing tools for functional testing, database testing, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests and integration testing for product specific quality assuranceDevelops mastery of both internal and external E-Commerce applications including Comparative RatersActs in lead role to consult and coordinate with team to ensure testing is completed on target dates Supports off-hours deliveries or periodic off-hours functional testing

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Education and Experience Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience2 or more years of related experience Certificates, Licenses, Registrations None Functional Skills Knowledge of multiple states, lines of business and product lines, including rating, operations, and overall process workflowWorking knowledge of company operating systems and processes including the policy administration systemAbility to conduct investigations and research into system errors and discrepanciesProficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) Expert ability to provide guidance to less experienced personnel and prior experience training Expert ability to conduct investigation and research into system errors and discrepanciesAdvanced skill in the development of test plans and test cases through thorough analysis of requirements Advanced understanding of risk-based testing and consistently applies it to testing assignmentsAdvanced knowledge and skills to support testing for all testing functions within the departmentStrong problem solving skillsNational General prides itself on offering our employees a robust Total Rewards package which includes base salary.


    The base range offered for the role is:
    $48, $85,000.00 and may vary based on internal equity, and job-related skills, knowledge and experience; among other factors. Other financial components may be added as part of the competitive compensation package, in addition to a full range of benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
