- Machine shop (preferably five years' experience)
- CNC programming experience in Gibbs Cam Software
- Machined Parts Estimating
- Strong Client relations
- Examine blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications to understand project requirements and scope of work.
- Identify the materials, tools, and equipment needed for projects, and estimate their costs accurately.
- Assess the labor requirements for each project, including skilled and unskilled labor, and calculate labor costs based on project timelines and complexity.
- Factor in overhead costs, such as utilities, maintenance, and administrative expenses, as well as any additional miscellaneous expenses relevant to the project.
- Conduct thorough cost analysis to determine the total project cost, ensuring profitability while remaining competitive in the market.
- Develop pricing strategies that account for material costs, labor expenses, overhead, and profit margins
- Work closely with personnel to gather necessary information and ensure that estimates meet project objectives.
- Prepare detailed bids and proposals in response to client requests for quotation (RFQ), ensuring accuracy.
- Extremely important to Maintain comprehensive records of project estimates, including cost breakdowns, assumptions, and documentation of any deviations or change orders.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor pricing to inform pricing strategies and maintain competitiveness in the marketplace.
- Provide management with reports on bids won/lost.
