Job description
About Us
Inked Land Company delivers land acquisition and title services to the oil and gas, renewable, and infrastructure project developers. We support acquisition, leasing, right-of-way, mineral title, and subsurface property right projects. We are growing and looking for reliable, driven, and talented people to join our team.
General Role Description
The Land & Real Estate Operations Associate owns project and systems setup and maintenance for land acquisition, leasing, ROW acquisition, subsurface waivers, and related real estate projects. This role is explicitly not landowner facing, meaning no direct negotiation or offer discussions are involved. The focus is on research, data and systems management, document drafting and preparation, filing and recording, marketing/material drafting, and producing the operational work product that lets negotiators do their jobs. Previous experience as a Land Technician or Real Estate Paralegal is directly relevant to this role.
Role Location
This role is located in Loveland, Colorado. Attendance is required 3 days per week.
General Responsibilities
- Set up and maintain project folders, workflows, and templates in SharePoint and/or our in-house land management platforms, LandFlow(r).
- Enter and maintain parcel and geospatial information in LandFlow(r).
- Pull and analyze public records: vesting deeds, tax assessor data, plat maps, and other recording/filing histories.
- Draft documents and templates: acquisition/lease/ROW administrative forms, internal memorandums, attendee notes, offer packages for review, marketing one-pagers, and standardized templates.
- Coordinate filings and recordings with county clerk/recorder offices or third-party recording/filing services.
- Identify and implement process improvements and document standard operating procedures for repeatable tasks.
- Provide a variety of support tasks as needed.
Required Skills / Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, and Word
- Associate or bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business, Paralegal Studies, or a related field
- Able to work in a team environment
- Effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Detail oriented, thorough, and efficient
- Flexible with taking on new tasks not directly related to the role from time-to-time
- Ability to self-motivate with minimal oversight
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in real estate, real estate lending, real estate support, renewable energy, oil and gas, land operations, right-of-way administration, or related administrative roles
- Demonstrated competence with public records research (vesting deeds, tax assessor lookups, recorder indexes)
- Strong written communication and document-drafting skills; ability to produce professional marketing and briefing materials
- High level of organizational skill and comfort managing many concurrent projects and datasets
- Tech-savvy: strong Excel skills, comfortable with SharePoint/OneDrive, experience with CRMs/land management systems or willingness to learn quickly
- Resourceful problem solver — "figure-it-out" ability and initiative when processes are incomplete or ambiguous
- Reliable attention to detail and a strong sense of documentation
- Valid driver's license and willingness to visit local county offices or courthouses as needed
Compensation & benefits
- Salary commensurate with experience ($50,000–$75,000).
- Benefits included medical, 401(k) match, and paid time off.
- Professional development and opportunities suited to the role.
What success looks like (90/135/180)
- 90 days: Fully onboarded to SharePoint/land systems; reliably set up project workspaces and draft template document, pull vesting deeds and tax data, and deliver complete contact lists and marketing one-pagers.
- 135 days: Managing system setup and data for multiple active projects, preparing complete filing/recording packages and drafting standard templates with minimal supervision.
- 180 days: Driving improvements to project setup and documentation processes, owning the operations workflow for several project tracks, and producing consistently accurate handoffs to legal and acquisition teams.
