    Description

    Position Summary

    Custodian/Maintenance is responsible for the general cleanliness in the office areas, restrooms, lunchrooms

    and other areas throughout the distribution center. May assist with totes and other maintenance duties as

    needed.

    AutoZoner is responsible for cleaning and stocking restrooms, stripping, waxing and buffing floors, emptying

    trash, cleaning windows, lunchrooms and office areas throughout the distribution center, assisting with totes

    or other maintenance duties on an as needed basis, as well as other duties as assigned.

    Key Responsibilities

    Cleans and stocks restrooms

    Strip, wax and buff floors

    Empty trash throughout the DC

    Clean windows, office areas, and lunchrooms throughout the DC

    Assist with totes or other maintenance duties as needed

    Other duties as assigned

    Work in a Safety Sensitive environment

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    None

    Education and/or Experience

    REQUIRED:

    High school diploma or GED; or 1-2 years custodial/maintenance experience

    PREFERRED:

    Industrial equipment certifications

    Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

    None

    Noise Powered Industrial Equipment and tools, Fans and Cooling

    Hazards Should be aware of box cutter, ladders, Powered Industrial

    Equipment, and some chemical exposure (ex: batteries, coolant,

    oil, washer fluid, brake fluid, etc.)

    Air Quality Overall good; some gasses, fumes and dust present

    Work Surface Flat, even, hard, inclines and ramps, ladders and stairs,

    catwalks/scaffolds, parking lot

    People Exposure to a variety of employees within designated

    departments

    Exposure to varied customers and vendors in a distribution

    environment

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to

    successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

    Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

    Ability to continuously bend, stoop, push, pull and walk as well as climb stairs

    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

    Ability to work required overtime

    Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision,

    depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus

    Ability to hear safety horns, PIE horns, pre-shift announcements/safety messages and ,

    pages

    Ability to work in a Safety Sensitive environment (heavy PIE traffic throughout the

    distribution center); moving conveyors, heights; maintain awareness of surroundings at

    all times and quick reaction time to hazardous conditions are necessary
