We are currently hiring for multiple teams: Guest Data: Understanding how guests and hosts use Airbnb allows us to give them the best possible experience. The Guest Data team is dedicated to developing top-tier tools frameworks and data models that offer a data-driven perspective on guest experiences on Airbnb products The Supply & Insights team provides rich high-quality data assets to power insights that enable Airbnb and our hosts to be competitive in our marketplaces.
The Growth Data Platform team in the Marketing Technology organization is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our team We own and curate important marketing data models data resources and metrics that are critical to drive business growth and product engagement In this role you will own some of Airbnbs most foundational data assets including our marketing communication & engagement growth & attribution ads performance traffic acquisition You will design build maintain robust efficient scalable pipelines collect process store user interactions listing details external feeds Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) track measure progress toward goals Ensure quality consistency accuracy Collaborate with cross-functional teams define requirements deliver solutions Merchandising optimization sales improvements Contribute influence tooling standards improve culture productivity Improve code quality automatically detect mitigate issues Your Expertise BS/Masters PhD relevant industry experience distributed processing technologies Hadoop Spark Kafka storage systems HDFS S3 Databricks Apache Beam Luigi Oozie AWS Glue Solid understanding relational databases PostgreSQL MySQL columnar databases Redshift BigQuery HBase ClickHouse Excellent written verbal communication skills
