    Responsibilities PeopleTec is currently seeking a Mid-Level SATCOM Systems Analystto support our Peterson AFB, CO location
    The candidate will provide technical services to the Wideband Consolidated SATCOM System Expert (C-SSE), Operations and Plans Branch, US Army Satellite Operations Brigade

    Duties Include:

    • Provide transmissions management and network management of Wideband
    • SATCOM Operational Management System (WSOMS) and other MILSATCOM C2 programs
    • Serve as technical consultant for transmissions management and control in the Super High Frequency (SHF), Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) functional area.
    • Develop/coordinate policy and plans for the WGS programs
    • Develop definitive technical solutions that consider systems architecture, interoperability, interfaces, protocols, networking, expansion potential and overall end-to-end compatibility
    • Participates as consultant, advisor, or member in various DoD, Joint, and MILDEP planning and working groups
    • Analyze, evaluate, and recommend solutions to future communications and automation operational challenges
    • Use knowledge of satellite communications systems and their relationships to other telecommunications networks
    • Provide technical and operational planning, system configuration and operational mission support.
    • Responsible for the development, preparation and coordination of wideband satellite communications and related information systems plans defining concepts, programmatics, and system initiative
    Develops and provides input to the Army Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE).


    • Responsible for Management of C2 MILSATCOM network management programs
    • Develop technical and management comments reflecting the command position with respect to Army and joint actions, interface with other command and higher authority
    • Review and comment of government documents resulting from these evaluations include such factors as feasibility, technical adequacy, interoperability, and integration into current systems and future planning
    • Provide lessons learned to Materiel Developer and Combat Developer, and helps ensure MILSATCOM and related information systems employment adheres to Army and USSPACECOM doctrine
    • Assist in managing Wideband SATCOM ground segment for transition to current/future satellites through concept, development, testing, procurement, production, and fielding
    • Ensure that developmental tactical automation systems are interoperable with and integrated into tactical communications equipment and are designed to meet user requirements, overall military specifications, and budgetary constraints.
    • Work at senior level to define, integrate, and implement strategic direction for Wideband programs having long-term effects
    • Develop and present briefings to convey strategic vision or organizational policies
    Recommend decisions and policies in planning for new Wideband SATCOM program requirements Qualifications Required Skills/Experience :


    • 10 years of Department of Defense (DoD) SATCOM experience
    • Knowledge of Wideband SATCOM systems is necessary
    Travel: 25 %


    • Must be a U.S
    Citizen


    • An active DoD TOP Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required to perform this work
    Candidates are required to have an active TOP Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment

    Education Requirements :
    Bachelors Degree (or relevant years of experience in lieu of degree) Desired Skills :


    • Knowledge of Wideband SATCOM, preferably transmissions and payload control and mission planning experience
    • Significant military familiarity and training in SATCOM
    • Ability to demonstrate proficiency in SATCOM principles, technical analysis, and problem solving
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project)
    • Knowledge of International Trafficking in Arms and Arms Export Control Act
    • Familiarity with the North American Treaty Organization (NATO)
