    Job Description

    American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Stepdown night shift position in Springdale, AR, requiring 2+ years of stepdown experience and an AR or compact RN license.

    Responsibilities
    Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a hospital setting, with telemetry and stepdown patient population
    Night shift schedule: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
    Every other weekend required
    Floating to Telemetry and Med/Surg units as needed
    13-week contract
    Responsible for shift-level accountability for patient care using the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
    Demonstrates critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership in planning safe patient care delivery
    Delegates patient care priorities based on staff education and experience, and provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel
    Gray scrubs required
    RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
    Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position

    Requirements
    Active AR or compact RN license required
    Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of the start date)
    Minimum 2 years of recent stepdown/PCU experience required
    Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
    Valid US driver's license required
    US Social Security Number required
    No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
