    Purpose

    The Medical Science Liaison will build key opinion leader partnerships through scientific exchanges with external stakeholders (HCPs, researchers, and formulary decision-makers) in assigned Therapeutic Areas. These engagements include establishing educational collaborations, delivering clinical education, and providing scientific information.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Develop strategic relationships with recognized KOLs to address scientific needs and stay updated on current trends in assigned Therapeutic Areas.
    • Identify thought leaders for medical education, research, and publication opportunities.
    • Cultivate collaborative KOL relationships for advisory boards, research initiatives, and speaker development.
    • Provide insights gained to field managers and teams.
    • Support HCPs at key institutions with scientific education.
    • Foster professional relationships in key institutions for Chiesi within an assigned geography.
    • Recognize opportunities for cross-functional engagement based on customer needs.
    • Characterize need within the therapeutic area related to real-world evidence.

    Maintain accurate records, prioritize tasks, and effectively manage multiple responsibilities with minimal supervision.

    Represent Chiesi at national, regional, and local scientific meetings.

    Deliver high-caliber medical education presentations and gather competitive intelligence from various sources.

    Participate in publication planning, research initiatives, and internal training programs.

    Experience Required

    • 3-5 years of relevant clinical experience in the assigned Therapeutic Area.
    • Demonstrate proficiency in therapeutic area competencies.
    • Excellent communication skills, including articulating complex ideas fluently to any audience, providing constructive feedback, and building strategic relationships.
    • Work effectively on multi-disciplinary teams and maintain a positive attitude during challenging situations.

    Education

    A graduate-level degree (PharmD., M.D., D.O, PhD, MSN, MS or equivalent healthcare professional degree) and relevant clinical experience are required.
