Job Description

The Import and export Specialist is responsible for managing the import and export of goods, will ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to international business, as well as coordinate with customs and carriers to ensure efficient transit of goods. The Import Specialist will work closely with the sales and logistics teams to ensure that shipments arrive on time and at the right destination.

• Monitor shipments and coordinate with customs, carriers, and vendors to ensure timely arrival of goods
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to international business
• Monitor and report changes in regulations that may affect shipment of goods
• Prepare, review, and submit documents related to import and export activities
• Work with vendors, customers, and other departments to ensure timely delivery of goods
• Negotiate with vendors and carriers for competitive pricing and services
• Respond to customer inquiries related to import and export activities

• Bachelor's degree in International Business, Logistics, or related field
• At least two years of experience in import and export operations
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to international business
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other related software
