- Transport fuel from point of pickup to point of delivery in a safe and efficient manner, following safety protocols.
- Maintain logs of working hours, vehicles service and repair status, following state and federal regulations.
- Ensure that the truck is loaded with correct fuels for each drop locations.
- Deliver products in correct quantities as instructed by dispatch and paperwork.
- Inform dispatch and safety of any DOT fines, citations or any other relevant issues.
- Communicate with Dispatch any potential customer issues such as; complaints, spills, leaks, incidents, accidents, injuries and vehicle issues.
- Communicate with maintenance in regards to any vehicle issues or needs and report any issues immediately.
- Ability to operate all vehicles assigned to them, keeping the truck clean and orderly at all times.
- Maneuver trucks into loading and unloading positions, checking that vehicle position is correct and any special loading equipment is properly positioned.
- Load fuels as instructed at designed truck rack using fuel arms and hoses.
- Responsible for general maintenance of truck, including but not limited to: checking oil and fuel levels.
- Complete all pre-trip requirements before each truck run and post-trip requirement at the end of each shift.
- Ability to push 146 and pull 146 pounds, lift 50 pounds, and climb ladder with a minimum of 3 rungs regularly.
- Ability to operate Smart Logix computer system or similar.
- Ability to read and complete written documentation with respect to Bill of Lading, Inventory, Pre and Post trips inspections, Orders and Fuel ticket copies. Ensure fuel tickets match orders.
- Ability to handle exposure to dust, fumes, high and low temperatures, slippery surfaces, low-lit work areas, heavy traffic and high noise levels.
- Able to drive in hazardous conditions, including weather, tight quarters, and inner-city locations.
- Understand and follow the BP/Husky Refinery Safety Culture.
- Regular and reliable attendance and a presence at work.
- Follow company quality, safety and environmental guidelines and employee handbook policies.
- Valid driver's license and ability/willingness to drive to any and all Corrigan facilities as needed.
- Operate in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
- Ability to effectively perform responsibilities under a high level of stress.
- Demonstrate professionalism, good interpersonal skills, be courteous and friendly to customers and co-workers at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Valid CDL class B license required. Hazmat, Tanker and Air Brakes Endorsements preferred.
- Pass pre-employment DOT physical, drug screen, Clearinghouse verification and 7-year criminal background check.
