- Provide support to students with special needs in the classroom and other school settings.
- Assist students with academic tasks, including reading, writing, and math.
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies under the guidance of teachers and specialists.
- Support students' social and emotional development by promoting positive interactions and providing guidance.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other team members to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Associates Degree or higher
- Experience working with children or individuals with special needs is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions from teachers and school staff.
