    JOB TITLE: Quality Engineer – Plastic Injection Molding

    LOCATION: Waukesha County (Eagle, WI)

    SALARY RANGE: $90-110k

    OVERVIEW:

    The Quality Engineer will play a key role in ensuring the quality of our plastic injection molded products through the implementation and management of robust quality control processes. The Quality Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement, develop corrective actions, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our manufacturing processes.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    · Conduct thorough inspections of plastic injection molded components to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.

    · Develop and implement quality control procedures to identify and address any deviations from quality standards.

    · Collaborate with production teams to establish and maintain quality metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

    · Investigate and analyze root causes of quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.

    · Conduct regular audits of manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement.

    · Collaborate with design and engineering teams to provide input on product design for manufacturability and quality.

    · Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of quality control processes and procedures.

    · Train production staff on quality control processes and procedures.

    · Stay updated on industry best practices, standards, and regulations related to plastic injection molding.

    SKILLS & ABILITIES:

    · Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.

    · Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, customers, vendors and other employees of the organization.

    · Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, production schedules, purchase orders, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

    · Ability to read part blueprints and utilize precision measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, height gauges, and scales.

    · Must have exceptional communication skills both verbally and in writing.

    · Possess team-building and leadership skills.

    · Ability to observe all safety regulations including the wearing of eye and hearing protection, ladder safety, fall protection, powered industrial truck procedures, and all other safety regulations.

    REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    · Bachelor's degree in an engineering field required.

    · Strong understanding of quality management systems, preferably ISO 9001:2015.

    · Certifications such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Six Sigma Green Belt (CSSGB) preferred.

    3-5 years of experience in a Quality Engineering role in a plastic injection molding company
