Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic imaging as an Ultrasound Technologist, using ultrasound technology to produce high-quality images for accurate clinical interpretation and patient care.
Prepare patients and operate ultrasound equipment, adjusting transducers and technical settings to complete routine and complex studies safely and efficiently.
Identify anatomy, pathology, artifacts, and equipment limitations to ensure diagnostic accuracy and support timely treatment decisions.Submit complete, high-quality images and clinical documentation to PACS while maintaining compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
Monitor equipment performance, report malfunctions, and maintain a clean, organized imaging department to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Requirements
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
One or more of the following required:
Cardiographic Tech specializing in Vascular Interpretation credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
Radiologic Technologist specializing in Sonography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
Vascular Sonography (ARRT-VS) also accepted.Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
Any specialty accepted.Radiologic Technologist specializing in General Practice credentialed from the Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist Certification Program preferred.
Education
High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical certificate/degree required.
Additional Preferences
1 year Sonography experience preferred.
