    Description
    Job Summary: Seeking LPN for 13 week per diem contract, requires NYS license, BLS, and AHA certification.

    • Coordinate delivery of nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
    • Supervise Technicians and/or Assistants on assigned unit.
    • Provide basic hygiene and comfort needs, nutrition, and fluid balance, including tube feeding and monitoring IV fluids.
    • Administer medication within scope of practice and regulatory requirements.
    • Reinforce established teaching plan and contribute to care planning.


    Responsibilities:
    • Participate in assessment process by collecting information and reporting to Registered Nurse.
    • Assist Registered Nurse in formulating meaningful plan of care.
    • Provide patient progress information to RN for plan of care revision.
    • Monitor patient nutrition and fluid balance.
    • Provide emotional support to patient and family.
    • Administer medications according to policy.
    • Document medications and IV administration according to policy.
    • Monitor patient safety and adhere to hospital policies and procedures.


    Requirements:
    • High school graduate or equivalent.
    • Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
    • Current New York State LPN License required.
    • Previous patient care experience preferred.


    Shifts: 3p-1130p, every other weekend with weekdays as needed.
