    Today, Electronic Warfare (EW) is a growing enterprise - protecting the warfighter and our national security against ever-adapting threats.

    The Leidos Innovations Center (LInC) at Leidos currently has an opening for a Senior level System Engineer to support a portfolio of programs in San Diego developing state-of-the-art hardware architectures such as system-on-chip (SoC).

    As a Sr.

    System Engineer you will work closely with the Chief Engineer, Integration and Test Engineers, Signal Processing Engineers, and Software Engineers.

    The selected individual will be responsible for managing and employing SE standard methods, MBSE models and artifacts, SE processes and tools to accomplish requirements analysis, problem diagnosis and solution design, integration and test preparation, risk assessment and mitigation planning, and related activities.


    Primary responsibilities:
    Interface with Government personnel to identify required activities, perform collaborative planning, review deliverables and resolve SE issues.

    Work closely with the chief engineer, electrical, signal processing, mechanical, thermal and test engineers on the following key tasks:

    Technical management and execution of engineering activities requirements analysis, Implementation planning, third party coordination, integration and test, documentation, deployment, and system assessment

    Employ MBSE approach for systems planning, design, execution, and operations

    Define processes for technical platforms, system specifications, interfaces and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility

    Develop and maintain systems engineering documentation and diagrams/models through use of MBSE tool

    Create meaningful entry/exit criteria for all technical reviews, and advocate for appropriate review artifacts, activities, documentation and stakeholder participation

    Monitor & report technical variances; facilitate resolution of technical issues and risks that adversely impact successful product delivery

    Identify and manage external dependencies

    Develop new and novel methodologies for improving system integration

    Employ new technologies to solve problems and then apply those solutions


    Basic Qualifications:
    B.S. degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, or related field and 12+ years of prior relevant experience or M.S. degree with 10+ years of prior relevant experience

    Requires on-site work in San Diego, CA

    Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret Clearance

    Knowledge of SoC technology and RF technology

    Familiarity with SoC design flow to include RTL, DFT, PD, Verification

    Experience developing test plans, , evaluating test results, performing analysis and writing technical reports

    Experience with embedded signal processing algorithms, simulations, models, and/or software for deployment on complex SoCs

    Working knowledge of C/C++ and Linux operating systems

    Well-organized, reliable, attention to detail, demonstrated personal initiative. Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload. Good interpersonal skills and ability to coordinate work with others. Good oral and written communication skills

    10% travel to customer/subcontractor sites as required


    Preferred Qualifications:
    Displayed ability in the modeling, design, assembly, integration, and test of complex systems

    Master's Degree in systems engineering

    Cameo Systems Modeler

    Working knowledge of electronics test equipment like function generators, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and lab power supplies.

    Hands-on development of low-level embedded system software and device drivers for ASIC or SoC

    Strong understanding of radar theory and fundamentals with experience working in areas of radar modeling and simulation and/or algorithm development

    Demonstrated leadership of a SoC development project

    Experience leading technical proposals or participating in business development strategy

    Pay Range:

    Pay Range $122, $220,900.00 The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
