- Provide recommendations to repair or replace poorly functioning equipment.
- Efficiently prioritizes repair schedule to ensure an uninterrupted production schedule.
- Troubleshoot equipment problems to include brake, electrical and hydraulic systems, detect imperfections, potential problems, safety issues and/or malfunctions.
- Provide improvements required to ensure compliance to safety regulations to DC and safety team.
- Ensure that department is appropriately stocked with part and tools needed to perform their job.
- Undertakes actions such as lubrication, cleaning, filter changes, etc, on equipment for preventive maintenance purposes.
- Replace broken or defective parts from stock parts and/or order replacement parts for major repairs.
- Modifies and tests equipment to improve systems uptime and reliability.
- Updates and reviews daily maintenance logs.
- Follows all safety policies and procedures strictly.
- Performs other relevant job duties as required.
- High School Diploma/GED and/or equivalent related experience
- 2-3 years of technical maintenance or related experience/training; or equivalent combination of education, experience and training.
- 1-2 years of on-the-job experience with electronics and mechanical equipment
- Machining and fabrication experience helpful
- Understanding of Safety guidelines
- Able to read and understand blueprints and technical reference manuals.
- Understanding of equipment operation and maintenance procedures
- Excellent mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work well independently.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently.
- Exposed to temperatures ranging from -20 degrees below zero to 35 degrees Fahrenheit in Perishable Operation and 37
- Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist and hand movements required for maintenance and service procedures.
- Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment.
- Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to
