- Staff Management:
- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise a team of swim instructors.
- Conduct regular staff evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and coaching.
- Develop and implement staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage for classes and open swim sessions.
- Curriculum Development:
- Collaborate with the instructional team to design and update swim lesson curriculum based on industry best practices and safety standards.
- Monitor student progress and adjust lesson plans as needed to meet individual needs and goals.
- Implement strategies to enhance the overall quality and effectiveness of swim instruction.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Maintain a safe and clean aquatic environment by enforcing all safety protocols and regulations.
- Conduct regular facility inspections and address any maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
- Ensure all staff members are properly certified and trained in CPR, first aid, and lifeguarding techniques.
- Customer Service:
- Interact with parents and students to address any questions, concerns, or feedback regarding swim programs.
- Resolve customer complaints or issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Foster a positive and welcoming atmosphere for all participants and guests.
- Administrative Tasks:
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, enrollment, and staff certifications.
- Assist with marketing efforts to promote swim programs and attract new customers.
- Previous experience in aquatics management or a related field, preferably in a swim school or aquatic center setting.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff members.
- In-depth knowledge of swim instruction techniques, water safety practices, and lifeguarding procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Current certifications in CPR, first aid, and lifeguarding (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Bachelor's degree in recreation management, physical education, or a related field is preferred.
