    We are looking for a highly motivated Director, Marketing to join our team

    The Director, Marketing will be an integral part of the team responsible for planning and executing company marketing efforts with primary focuses on outbound marketing and product launches. You will work cross-functionally to contribute to the direction and decision of our go-to-market strategy, positioning and messaging for our products and lead the execution of the marketing campaigns or programs to achieve the growth of our commercial footprint.

    In this role, you will consider numerous factors such as market segments and research areas, customer personas, competitive products, and product market fit. You will work with cross-functional teams to generate business plans on how to grow the sales funnel, identify gaps and provide solutions to the leadership team.

    How You'll Contribute
    • Build outbound marketing strategies and campaigns, prioritize suggested activities and drive efforts aligned to company strategy for the market
    • Develop strategic plans and positioning statements for outbound communication and product launches
    • Create compelling storylines that succinctly articulate the value proposition of company products and achieve market share objectives
    • Leverage business insights and expert feedback to provide active input into the development and review of brand strategy and tactical plans
    • Develop and disseminate content, materials, and tools that promote awareness and educate partners, and customers on our product
    • Creates sales enablement tools, webinars, support content and other relevant content in close collaboration with product management
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on commercial strategy, priorities and brand vision
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of campaign strategies through campaign measurement and metrics development
    • Manage the Marketing Communications priorities to assist with the above efforts
    • Other duties as assigned
    Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
    • Bachelor's degree in molecular biology or related field required, Ph.D. strongly preferred.
    • 10+ years of commercial work experience in Life Science/Biotech industry.
    • Extensive understanding of Next Generation Sequencing market, products, and applications required.
    • Must have demonstrated track record of delivering effective strategic plans for capital equipment product and applications launches, with demonstrated mechanisms for tracking performance and responding to market.
    • Ability to define multiple market segments and develop strategies to win in each segment
    • Ability to assess competitive positioning and develop appropriate strategies and tactics to win
    • Deep understanding of market trends for next 2-5 years in NGS
    • Knowledge of applications and needs for NGS in clinical testing
    • Demonstrated marketing and commercialization knowledge for North America, Asia, and EMEA
    • Exceptional storyteller and communicator capable of explaining complex scientific and technical concepts in simple terms
    • Skilled at understanding the principles of brand management, including brand positioning, messaging & overall campaign execution
    • Outstanding cross-functional leadership skills, with proven experience managing complex projects through influence
    • Ability to roll up your sleeves and work on everything from strategy to creating copy for one-pagers when necessary
    • Self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, excellent problem-solving skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills and highly skilled in influencing cross-functional teams, including interfacing with key internal and external stakeholders, including C-suite.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%
    At Ultima Genomics, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays between $175,000and $225,000, if performed in California, and your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
