Director of Talent and Culture - Hawaii

Job summary
The Director of Talent and Culture will oversee all functions within the Human Resources department in accordance with Resort standards.Maintain complete knowledge of policies service procedures and standards Ensure that standards are maintained at superior level on daily basis Observe staff performance rectify any deficiencies Assist staff with their job functions to ensure optimum service to guests employees Maintain files ensure compliance on policies laws including Wage Hour Hawaii Prepaid Health Care Act HIPAA Workers Compensation Immigrations Employment Unemployment FMLA HFLL A.D.A Food Beverage Handling including Alcohol Develop maintain current job descriptions for Resort positions Identify use outside recruiting sources Interview applicants management positions submit recommendations Ensure application screening interview hiring process carried out in accordance with Resort Company policy procedures Develop deliver proper orientation program new hires Ensure accurate maintenance employee files Conduct monitor critique training programs sessions Provide feedback Talent Culture staff performance Handle disciplinary problems counsel employees Establish guidelines performance reviews employees Ensure completion placement records employees files Establish progressive discipline procedures monitor compliance conduct counseling sessions document records place documentation employees files Conduct document exit interviews terminated employees ensure placement documentation employees files Audit employee benefits records Conduct audits Resort payroll records verifying accuracy titles rates status Complete maintain current records competitive wage benefit survey Resort positions Complete documentation coordinate occupational benefit plan compensation ensuring entitlement payments Investigate prepare reports E.E.O.C charges coordinate hearings Labor Relations lawyer Investigate respond unemployment claims Complete designated forms local state federal government maintain file breakdown related benefit costs Complete filing work permits work authorization documentation Coordinate requests authorized approvals paperwork Various forms Paid Leave Leaves Absence Promotion Transfer Task Force Cross Training Cross Exposure FMLA HFLL ADA TDI LTD WC Establish relationships local emergency care facilities follow each use facility by Resort Secure coordinate non-cost benefits for employees i.e. Costco movie tickets discounts credit union Develop coordinate employee incentive recognition programs Plan coordinate Executive Committee social sports activities Contact local organizations establish engagement projects hotel can become involved promote positive public relations local community Update employee handbook Prepare Talent Culture budget track actual forecast keep expenses within budget Review monthly financial records Maintain confidentiality security employee Resort records Attend designated meetings Prepare send corporate reports report corporate ownership meetings needed Foster promote cooperative working climate maximizing productivity morale All other duties required QUALIFICATIONS Experience College degree equivalent experience Education Minimum three five years experience Human Resources Manager Director luxury ultra-luxury property equivalent experience General Skills Must perform Job Functions attention detail speed accuracy prioritize organize follow up Be clear thinker remaining calm resolving problems using good judgment Follow directions thoroughly Understand guest service needs Work cohesively coworkers team Work minimal supervision Maintain confidentiality guest information pertinent hotel data Technical Skills Ability organize tasks assign responsibilities subordinates Educate staff develop knowledge skill Thorough understanding training process Solid planning skills Thorough knowledge government labor laws regulations Thorough knowledge benefits processing Proficiency Microsoft Office products Thorough knowledge budget preparation control Language Required speak read write English fluency languages preferred Physical Requirements Must exert physical effort transporting pounds endure various physical movements throughout work areas reach remain stationary times throughout work periods satisfactorily communicate guests coworkers understanding Licenses Certifications None required HR certifications preferred SALARY $220 000 - $230 000 annually Bonus potential % base annual salary Transitional housing assistance relocation allowance if applicable>
