    Essential Job Functions & Expected Outcomes: Your Accountabilities in the Role
    1. On-site EHS, Policy & Practice Administration/Support: 100% of the Job
    2. Provide leadership to advance initiatives that promote and sustain the safety, health, security, and welfare of all employees. Provide direct supervision of assigned multimarket staff
    3. Develop, deploy, and monitor all EHS programs, procedures, policies, and standards in a manner that ensures compliance to Federal, State, Local, Customer and Corporate requirements
    4. Provide focus, direction, leadership, and technical expertise to advise and train managers and supervisors on their roles and responsibilities in the EHS program
    5. Administer the root cause analysis procedure designed to identify hazards in the workplace and develop best practices
    6. Assess, track, and analyze EHS performance to identify risks and establish recommendations to alleviate hazards and leverage opportunities
    7. Stimulate and cultivate a zero-harm, opportunity-driven mentality throughout the organization. We believe that every accident is preventable
    8. Drive continuous improvement in our safety culture while working towards exceeding site-specific safety goals
    9. Participation in the Company Safety Council activities and projects. Transfer safety SOPs, procedures, and processes to market activities
    10. Conduct annual OSHA-required training and certifications throughout CTB
    11. Advise and train direct multimarket staff on their roles and responsibilities in the Safety program
    12. Manages Workers' Comp process, to include return to work with restrictions in conjunction with HR Generalist
    The job criteria may include other duties, responsibilities and activities, which may change or be assigned at any item with or without notice.

    Position Requirements:
    1. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
    2. Experience:5 years of experience handling all facets of EH&S for a multi-site manufacturing organization.
    3. Certification(s): CSP or ASP highly desired
    4. Functional Skills: Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Extensive experience and prior knowledge of OSHA guidelines and compliance area required.
    5. Technology Aptitude/Skills: Experienced with technology and equipment used in environmental inspections. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint required.
    6. Language Skills: Excellent verbal and written skillset; able to present and train team members on new safety policies. Able to communicate with various levels of the organization, including Plant/Operations Managers.
    7. Leadership/Behaviors: Demonstrates a high customer-service and support personality who has a strength in educating others towards best practices; forward thinking and resourceful to ensure processes are handled smoothly and effectively, ability to handle matters in a timely manner, is self-directed and can work well within an established set of guidelines. .
    8.     Equipment Used:
    • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
    Physical Requirements to Perform Essential Functions:
    • Ability to sit at desk for 5+ hours per day
    • Ability to operate keyboard and view computer screen for majority of day 6-7 hours
    • Ability to write ideas/information in a logical flow for 5+ hours per day
    • Ability to read and respond on an on-going basis daily due to nature of the work, throughout the day
    • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently
    • Ability to communicate with others via phone, in-person, and computer on-going
    • Ability to listen to customers, problem-solve, and respond accordingly
    • Ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, kneel, squat, twist, push, pull, walk, stoop, crouch, and carry items frequently
    • Lifting up to 15 lbs. sporadically
    Environmental Conditions & Travel:
    • The employee is primarily exposed to a normal office environment with moderate noise. The employee is occasionally required to wear suitable Personal Protective Equipment while visiting manufacturing departments.
    • This position may face inclement weather conditions when traveling.
    • Travel: Limited; no travel is required
