    Job Summary:

    The Director of Sales and Marketing is responsible to lead, and direct all sales and marketing efforts at the Best Western Premier, the Central Hotel.

    The Director of Sales & Marketing is responsible for developing, and adhering to the business marketing plan as established with the property management team.


    Key Accountabilities:

    Provide overall leadership and vision for the sales team by offering support and guidance as it relates to sales efforts.

    Drive a culture of learning and development in the sales office to support revenue growth. Grow and manage trusted relationships with existing and new clients. Understand and manage booking procedures related to meeting space, guest room blocks, contracts, and proposals. Utilize sales programs and systems to seek out and establish new accounts and relationships.

    Produce sales calls for the solicitation and booking of profitable business Effectively communicate with operations team throughout the property to ensure guest satisfaction.

    Lead and actively participate in sales meetings and marketing planning sessions to assist in budgeting, advertising, and promotions. Be knowledgeable of the local competition and understand changes in their marketing approach. Exemplify positive actions to promote teamwork, honesty, integrity, and respect.


    Essential Skills Needed:
    Lead, cultivate, and manage a team. Strong organizational skills, and office administrative skills. Clearly communicate with sales team, management team, and clients. Strong ability to sell hotel guest rooms, meeting space, and service.


    Education & Experience Required:
    High School Diploma. Sales & Marketing or related studies preferred but not required. 5+ years of experience working in a professional sales and sales management position. Previous sales experience in a hotel or hospitality/catering setting highly preferred but not required.#J-18808-Ljbffr
