    6 years of experience with all facets of Linux system administration to include:

    RedHat / CentOS / Oracle

    Management of:
    Users & File Systems, Backups, Patches, Security, Networks

    Hardware administration/troubleshooting/installation

    Software installation, administration & troubleshooting

    Performance tuning

    6 years of experience with all facets of administering a production system:


    System accreditation processes:
    System hardening

    Preparation for penetration and vulnerability testing

    System Monitoring & Health monitoring & Troubleshooting

    Use of customer's:
    software repositories, authentication services, network services, COOP facilities, SSP & asset management systems


    Fluent in:
    Bash/Perl/etc. scripting


    Awareness of:
    Git/software configuration management

    Docker

    Puppet


    Professional skills:
    Effective communications skills & documentation skills

    Ability to work with large team of developers

    Ability to manage a small team of administrators

    Willingness to take direction

    Willingness to interact with customer watch facilities

    Understanding/appreciation of customer mission requirements


    Qualifications:


    Principal Consultant is a mid-level member of a project team assisting with implementation and testing of individual components of the Oracle product or technology based on guidance from the lead.

    Assists with the development and configuration of detailed solutions based on customer requirements. Assists in operations and maintenance of the customer system.
