    Exciting Opportunity for an OB Hospitalist Prestonsburg, KY


    Join our team as a Locum Physician specializing in Obstetrics at Prestonsburg, KY, and play a vital role in delivering exceptional maternal care in a dynamic hospital environment.

    This position offers the flexibility and support you need to make a meaningful impact while advancing your professional experience.


    In this role, you'll provide coverage for our busy Labor and Delivery unit, managing unassigned and private patients, with a yield of approximately 200 deliveries annually.

    Your expertise will help expand our coverage capacity and strengthen our market presence. The hospital features a Level 2 NICU and a daily onsite anesthesia coverage with 24/7 call support.

    While there are no plans to develop an OBED or triage model, you will have the opportunity to see outpatient (OP) patients, including routine and new patient visits, and perform GYN surgeries, consults, and outpatient services.

    Our internal medicine program provides rotating residents, and backup support is available from employed OBs for multiple emergencies.


    Required Skills:
    Board-certified or eligible in OB/GYN
    Valid medical license in Kentucky or ability to obtain
    Proven experience in OB hospitalist settings
    Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills
    Ability to work independently and collaboratively


    Nice to Have Skills:
    Experience with outpatient gynecology services
    Familiarity with hospital-based emergency protocols
    Prior exposure to Level 2 NICU environment


    Preferred Education and Experience:
    Medical degree (MD or DO)
    Completion of OB/GYN residency training
    Minimum of 2 years of hospitalist experience in obstetrics


    Other Requirements:
    Ability to start by December 31, 2025
    Willingness to work flexible hours, including on-call shifts
    Credentialing and licensing compliance
    Traveling expenses covered as applicable
