    • Support the institution's Christian mission, including attendance a chapel services, scheduled or called meetings, commencement programs, and Faculty Forum meetings.

    • Provides a Christian role model for students.

    • Provides a Christian role model for students.

    • Maintains a strong interest in the pursuit of knowledge and shares it with students and scholars.

    • Promotes the discipline on and off campus and attracts students to the field.

    • Identifies with professional organizations and professionals of the discipline at all educational levels.

    • Assists students by continually monitoring and evaluating students' progress and making appropriate referrals to academic and personal support services, as necessary, to meet student needs.

    For teacher candidates:
    • Communication of clear and specific expectations for student assignments, class procedures, etc.
    • Development and review of classroom management plan. Suggested plan may include but not limited to:
    • Organization of classroom materials and resources, student seating, distribution of student materials, etc.
    • Development of procedures for grading, grade reporting to parents, homework, and make up assignments.
    • Exploring various strategies for progressive discipline.
    • Exploration of roles and responsibilities of teachers in a co-teaching/collaborative setting.
    • Review of district special education forms, policies and procedures and other relevant guiding documents.
    • Design of unit and daily lesson plans, using school and KTIP documents. Evidence that plans are linked to the curriculum documents, Kentucky Academic Standards (KAS) and other content guidelines.
    • Evidence of co-teaching practices.
    • Other support activities may include: observing to provide specific feedback, video-taping a lesson for collaborative discussion, professional journal reflections.
    • Other needs expressed by the CU Alternative Certification teacher candidate.
    • Interventions, if warranted, may include additional visits to the classroom, meetings with school administration and school-based mentor, and consultation with the CU Graduate Programs Chair.

    For school counselor candidates:
    • Provide a minimum of five hours of observation and one-on-one support (feedback, securing information and resources, conferencing, etc.). This could average for two hours per eight-week term. Document the observational support hours utilizing the Administrator Observation Summary Form and submit to the Clinical Support Specialist.
    • Respond promptly to communication from the candidate by telephone or email.
    • Honor the time demands of the site administrator, offering services on site as much as possible.
    • Consult with the candidate in developing the PPGES Self Reflection and Professional Growth Plan.
    • Consult with the candidate on meaningful goals for successfully completing the program.
    • Meet with the district administrator mentor and candidate a minimum of two times during the program to discuss progress and/or issues as they arise.
    For administrator candidates:
