    Job Summary

    We are seeking a skilled pharmacist to join our team at Prisma Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide patient care through direct operational and clinical services. You will work collaboratively with other departments to enhance operations and clinical programs, actively participate in education and promotion of the profession, and represent GHS within professional organizations through service, presentations, and publications.



    Key Accountabilities:

    • Provides pharmaceutical excellence through direct patient care activities as a member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team (40%).
    • Actively participates in the provision of health care education, including postgraduate didactic and experiential training programs, as well as education for GHS nursing, pharmacy, and medical staff (20%).
    • Provides accurate order-entry, drug distribution, and clinical pharmaceutical care, which may include point-of-care testing (15%).
    • Actively participates in department and institutional committees and projects, such as performance improvement, formulary management, regulatory, patient safety, and financial initiatives (10%).
    • Provides concise, applicable, and timely responses for drug information requests and other pharmaceutical care services, documenting in the patient care record when appropriate (10%).
    • Represents GHS within professional organizations through service, presentations, and publications (5%).


    Hiring Requirements:

    To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree: Graduation from an ACPE-approved college of Pharmacy, PharmD preferred.
    • Completion of an ASHP-Accredited PGY1 Residency or 5 years of pharmacist experience.


    Required Certifications/Licenses:

    • South Carolina Pharmacist License.


    Work Details:

    This is a non-management position that reports to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive. The ideal candidate will have hospital acute care experience and be willing to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.

    Salary:

    $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
