    The Lodge at Whitefish Lake, one of Montana's AAA Four Diamond resorts, is seeking a Marina Supervisor to work with our Marina Team.

    PRINCIPLERESPONSIBILITIES AND POSITION PURPOSE:

    A Supervisor plays a key role in the leadership of theMarina Department of The Lodge at Whitefish Lake. Our ideal candidate will usetheir experience and knowledge of marina and boating operations of the Lodgeincluding the maintenance of all vessels, equipment, and infrastructures toadvance the customer experience of Lodge guests.

    ASupervisor will lead daily operations with efficiency, integrity, patience,awareness, and compassion. They will lead daily operations, communication, andproblem resolution all the while providing outstanding service to our guestsalong the way. They will act as an advocate for the marina, be a creator ofridiculously personal experiences, and develop relationships with guests thatwill compel them to return.

    MAINDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Transport guests safely to and from their destination.
    • Maintains overall appearance and cleanliness of thevessels.
    • Trains and manages employees in boating operations.
    • Maintains engines and systems up to factory or abovespecifications.
    • Maintains all shipboard safety equipment and verifies itis valid, functional, and inspected as necessary.
    • Repairs or replaces all operational and safety systems,as needed.
    • Maintains pier and coordinates cleaning
    • Keeps accurate master's log, a daily summary of events,the number of people aboard.
    • Inspects vessels to ensure efficient and safe operationof vessels and equipment, and conformance to regulations.
    • Steers and operates vessels, using radios, depth finders,radars, lights, and buoys.
    Additional Responsibilities:
    • Oversees daily operations including POS transactions, check-out/in,fueling, parking of boats, etc.
    • Helps train new hires for day-to-day operations.
    • Coach and counsel employees, when necessary
    • Launches all vessels for customers.
    • Test runs and operates all vessels and systems.
    • Working weekends and holidays; days and nights, may be required.
    SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY
    • Knowledge of Marina, Local and State laws andprocedures.
    • Must be organized and detail oriented.
    • Must be a team player.
    • Must be a strong leader with a hospitality first mindset.
    • Desires to provide phenomenal guest experiences, apassion for quality, and attention to detail.
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to developrelationships and foster cooperation.

    • Proven leadership skills, which include coaching andtraining abilities and strong motivational skills.
    • Computer literacy (Word, Excel, Power Point).
    • Must be alert and quickreasoning. Should be able to makedecisions in the best interest of the hotel.
    • Ability to interpret instructions andguidelines set by the hotel's policy and procedures.
    QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

    EDUCATION
    • Preference for a 4-year degree
    EXPERIENCE/LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES
    • Minimum of 1 year experience in management or supervisoryposition in a restaurant or related field.
    • Must have experience maneuvering and docking 21 foot vessels in challenging conditions, have good interpersonal skills and excellentcommunication and leadership skills.
    • Knowledgeof area waters, specifically in and around Whitefish Lake
    • Solidunderstanding of the area's weather patterns
    • Must beable to safely navigate waterways
    • Must beable to read gauges to verify sufficient levels of hydraulic fluid, airpressure, and oxygen
    • Musthave Boater's License (Driver's license in the state of Montana)
    SCHEDULE / HOLIDAYS/ PTO:

    TheMarina Supervisor is expected to normally keep a 5 day a week schedule,adjusted as needed (potentially more than 5 days) according to occupancy andbusiness needs, and be available for peak guest times. Working evenings,weekends and holidays is required, and the supervisor will participate inon-call emergency coverage with the marina team.
