In this dynamic role, you'll create a safe, engaging environment that fosters creativity, social development, and academic support. Your positive energy will help shape memorable experiences for children during their after-school hours, making a meaningful difference in their lives while promoting a love of learning and community involvement.
Responsibilities
- Lead engaging activities that promote childhood development, like educational games.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques.
- Ensure safety by implementing proper childcare practices and maintaining a secure environment at all times.
- Coordinate with parents and guardians to communicate student progress and address any concerns or special needs.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp, tutoring, or babysitting is highly preferred.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to foster a positive learning environment.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Optional. Knowing chess basics and the rules of games.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: From $40.00 per hour
