    Systems, Products & Solutions, Inc. (SPS) is a Huntsville based Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB) with more than 17 years of experience as a U.S. Army logistics provider to Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM), Tactical Command (TACOM) and Communications-Electronics Life Cycle Management Command (CECOM). Over the years, SPS greatly expanded its core support capabilities with its current specialties being Army maintenance and logistics (supply and transportation), Total Package Fielding, Field Service Support, Training and Training Development, Foreign Military Sales (FMS), Engineering and C4ISR support services.

    Work will be performed OCONUS and CONUS. This position is contingent based upon contract award.

    Experience in MIG (metal inert gas), TIG (tungsten inert gas), ARC (electrical arc welding) and Gas welding operations. Must be able to understand and operate plasma, and acetylene cutting equipment. This worker welds metal parts together, using both gas welding or brazing and any combination of arc welding processes, performs related tasks such as thermal cutting and grinding, repairs broken or cracked parts, fills holes and increases size of metal parts, positions and clamps together components of fabricated metal products preparatory to welding. This worker may locate and repair cracks in industrial engine cylinder heads, using inspection equipment and gas torch, may perform repairs only and be required to pass employer performance tests or standard tests to meet certification standards of governmental agencies or professional and technical associations. May be required to handle hazardous material and/or collect hazardous waste.

    • Understanding the Spanish language (recommended not required)
    • Must have completed vocational or military training in welding fundamentals and skills and have at least five years of applicable experience.
    • Must have an understanding of metals and their properties so the best combinations can be used to enhance the life of the final product.
    • May be required to be certified in various types of welding techniques and materials.
