    Summary

    The Senior Advisor for Oversight is an integral member of the DIAS Front Office and DIAS Senior Management, and reports directly to the Deputy Division Director, DIAS (DDD/DIAS), serving as an expert resource across the full range of oversight activities.

    Duties

    As a Senior Advisor for Oversight , you will perform the following duties:
  • Provides expert advice and guidance to DIAS Senior Management across the full portfolio of oversight functions - pre- to post-award - to ensure alignment with relevant federal cost principles, as well as applicable federal and NSF regulations, policies and procedures.
  • On behalf of NSF, develops effective working relationships with officials of educational, non-profit, commercial, and other government organizations with which NSF does business so as to be able to deal effectively with topics of mutual interest.
  • Performs special projects - directed and self-initiated related to accountability and oversight of NSF investments. Develops data and related metrics, applying appropriate analytic techniques. Analyses are intended to identify best practices and/or recommend solutions to DIAS leadership in areas for which there are no established solutions. Takes initiative to DIAS Senior Management to issues which require attention or changes in operational practices.
  • Serves as senior subject matter expert spanning the full portfolio of oversight functions, advising DIAS Senior Management and cost analysts on complex and politically sensitive issues.
  • In collaboration with DIAS Branch Chiefs, leads eff orts to strengthen integration of pre- and post award oversight functions, as well as integration of these functions with DIAS policy and business system functions.
  • Works with the DIAS Office Heads for Policy and Systems to ensure alignment with applicable federal and NSF regulations and policies as well as with system requirements and procedures.
  • Actively participates in working groups and task forces, providing timely, complete, and quality input; assesses and effectively communicates potential impact of proposed outcomes to affected NSF stakeholders.
