Apex Systems is looking to hire an AWS Architect for one of their reputable telecommunications client they support. This position will sit 3 days onsite and 2 days remote in Charlotte, NC.

Contract length: 6+ months - potential to extend

Contract Rate: $70+/hr W2

Must Have Requirements:

• Can work onsite in Charlotte, NC – 3 days a week (2 days remote)
• 6+ years of AWS Architect experience – building out blueprints/road maps
• Containers experience – Kubernetes preferred
• Experience with virtual machines/VMware

Overview:

• Responsible for creating solutions and presenting compelling recommendations to customers.
• Define operational procedures and practices
• Define KPIs and set up appropriate health-checks, monitoring and escalation procedures
• Accelerate development for roadmap features, to address specific customer requirements
• Identify ongoing risks and pain points throughout the project, develop and implement mitigation measures.
• Improve internal processes, and promote knowledge sharing in the team, by contributing to the knowledge base, blogs, and brown bag lunches.
• Capture project lessons and convert them into architectural best practices applicable to the broader install base; mentor and coach the internal team through internal training sessions.
• Work closely with Product Management and Engineering to review customer requirements and feedback, and identify opportunities for platform enhancements
