    Join our dynamic team as a TIG Welder, where you'll play a crucial role in assembling, installing, and repairing pipes, fittings, and fixtures for heating, water, and drainage systems. You'll work closely with our experienced journeyman, contributing your skills in welding and pipe fitting to ensure projects are completed to the highest standards.

    Pay: $30-$40

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Technical Expertise: Utilize your expertise to assist in laying out, positioning, and securing parts and assemblies according to specifications. Tack-weld or weld components and assemblies using various welding equipment with precision and skill.
    • Equipment Maintenance: Take pride in maintaining welding equipment, ensuring it's in optimal condition for seamless operation. Your attention to detail will minimize unscheduled downtime, keeping projects on track.
    • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough inspections of welded surfaces and structures, employing testing methods such as hydrostatic and x-ray tests to ensure impeccable quality and adherence to specifications.
    • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Demonstrate your organizational prowess by meticulously maintaining records of tests, inspections, and inventory. Your attention to detail ensures accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Collaboration and Communication: Foster strong relationships with colleagues and management, offering support as needed and effectively communicating project updates and any potential challenges.

    Qualifications:

    • Education/Certification: High school diploma or equivalent. Journeyman License or previous on-the-job experience is required. Enrollment in apprenticeship courses or welding classes is a plus.
    • Experience: Minimum of one to two years of related experience in welding and pipe fitting. Experience with Tig Welding, 16 gauge stainless steel preferred.
    • Skills/Abilities: Solid problem-solving skills, excellent hand-eye coordination, and the ability to work independently. Proficiency in operating welding instruments and tools is essential.
    • Prior experience as a lead or supervisor within a welding department or weld shop preferred.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to perform physical tasks including stooping, kneeling, crawling, lifting, and repetitive motions. Medium strength exertion may be required.

    Working Conditions:

    • Work both indoors and outdoors, subject to varying temperatures and environmental conditions. Proper safety equipment and precautions are provided.
