    Project Engineer II - Traffic

    $95, $105,000.00

    GPA is currently seeking a proven professional to work on various projects within our client's Transportation Market. The

    Traffic Project Engineer

    will have demonstrated leadership and technical experience in Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) and municipal projects.

    Traffic Engineers

    will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of project types, and for a variety of clients.

    Projects will include safety planning and design, roundabouts, corridor studies and plans, design of traffic signals and of advanced ITS systems, and many others.

    This position offers hands-on training in the hot field intelligent transportation systems and smart cities infrastructure.

    Desired Skills and Experience

    7+ years' experience as a

    Traffic Engineer

    Bachelor Degree in

    Civil Engineering

    Ohio PE License, required. P.T.O.E. preferred

    Road Safety Professional is a plus.

    MicroStation/Geopak/OpenRoads and/or AutoCAD/Civil 3D

    Other design-related software such as SignCad and AutoTurn

    HCS, Synchro/Simtraffic, VISSIM, TransModeler, SIDRA, Rodel

    Travel demand modeling is a plus

    Basic or advanced GIS capabilities desired.

    Knowledge of MUTCD policies and procedures.

    Must have strong communication skills and be team oriented.

    Tasks and Responsibilities

    Provide traffic engineering design for a variety of LPA, DOT, and private clients

    Produce and review traffic impact studies, safety studies, and traffic forecasting

    Establishes guidelines for cost estimates. Reviews and approves estimates prepared by others.

    May function as Project Manager - demonstrating strong team, communication, and organization abilities.

    Frequently functions as a subject matter expert.

    Assure project understanding, approach, and technology fully addresses client, regulatory, and best practices technical issues.

    Independently develop projects. May be assigned as subject matter expert.
