This position requires the candidate to be ~100% on-site in Roy, Utah or Huntsville, AL.The successful candidate will join the Sentinel Program's System Engineering Team in the development of weapon system interfaces, requirement analysis, verification planning, and programmatic system engineering technical direction.
The selected candidate will be responsible for an Interfaces Section and will report directly to an SDS Systems Engineering Department Manager.
You will provide career mentorship and operational support to a Functional Home Room (FHR) team (Section) of between 8 and 12 Individual Contributors (ICs) based on Engineering goals, objectives, and company policy.
Key FHR responsibilities will be personnel performance management, process familiarization and training for Section members, as well as staffing of roles on projects.
As a Section Manager you will be expected to spend roughly 20% of your effort on Functional Homeroom responsibilities with 80% of your efforts focused on technical assignments supporting all four Interfaces teams, various IPTs and other segments, and working closely with senior leaders and customers.
Other program responsibilities may include system architecture development, requirements development/management, requirement verification planning, system design/analysis, modeling & simulation, model-based systems engineering, IPT/product owner leadership, specialty engineering, or other appropriate technical functions.
The selected candidate will clearly demonstrate strong management skills and will have a track record as a motivated leader, an effective communicator, and problem solver who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
The candidate will demonstrate a commitment to ethics and integrity, and the capability to innovate while challenging traditional ways of doing business.
Demonstrated abilities to build diverse and inclusive teams with high levels of engagement, including mentoring and coaching, are a must.
They will have an ability to operate in a team environment and collaborate across the directorate business areas as required to accomplish team and department goals.

Primary Level Salary Range:
$139, $230,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
