- Perform Quality Control (QC) testing of ultrasound and x-ray imaging equipment
- Perform QC testing of nuclear medicine hot lab instruments
- Perform QC testing of medical image interpretation displays
- Summarize and analyze QC test data acquired by medical physicists
- Maintain test records
- Communicate with regulatory and accreditation bodies about physics testing
- Four years of experience in an occupational field related to the work assigned to the position.
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evening shifts.
- Ability and willingness to work around x-rays and radioactive materials
- Bachelor's degree in a field of natural science or engineering.
- Previous experience working with medical imaging equipment.
- Qualification as a Provisional Qualified Inspector with CDPHE.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Proficiency in basic computer operation, including file management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to work both independently and in collaboration with colleagues, including physicists, physicians, and hospital staff
- Manual dexterity needed to operate medical imaging equipment
- Ability to lift 35 pounds

The Department of Radiation Oncology, Division of Medical Physics as a full time opening for a Professional Assistant to Medical Physics.
This position is fully on-site at the Anschutz Medical Campus in the Anschutz Cancer Pavilion and will report to the Director of Medical Physics.
We are seeking an individual with a general science background to support Quality Assurance and radiation measurement tasks within the Department.
This position requires excellent computer skills, technical problem solving skills, flexibility in work hours, ability to work evening shifts, ability to manage time, and the ability to communicate effectively both written and orally, and cooperate with othersKey Responsibilities:
