    POSITION OVERVIEW:
    The Accounting Manager plays a key role in supporting the Company's Finances.

    As part of the Finance team you will be providing expert accounting services and responsible for building out an Accounting Team.

    You will work in closely with the President and Owner to ensure AR/AP are up-to-date and ensure clients are satisfied with performed services.

    This role requires some interaction with clients at times.


    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Overseeing the organization's daily accounting functions
    Managing the accounting, payroll, billing, general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivables
    Maintain documented system of accounting policies and operations
    Process accounts and collecting payments
    Monitor cash and funding balances
    Keep an organized filing system of all accounts, statements, transactions, payments, and debts
    Manage the quarterly/annual budgets and forecasts
    Working with executive team to guide the organization's financial decisions
    Communicating regularly with the President
    Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements
    Coordinating and preparing CRA deliverables
    Overseeing regulatory reporting, including tax planning and compliance
    Coordinating activities of external auditors
    Managing the budget process
    Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement, and implementing new processes
    Developing and monitoring financial performance metrics
    Hiring, training, and retaining accounting staff


    REQUIRED AWESOME SKILLS FOR SUCCESS:
    Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration with an emphasis in Accounting, or a related field
    Ideal Candidate will have 5+ years of experience in a related accounting field
    CPA or CMA certification a plus
    Previous management experience a plus
    Experience working at an MSP a plus
    Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration with an emphasis in Accounting, or a related field
    Proficiency with QuickBooks online
    Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and

    provincial/national

    regulations
    Analytical ability to develop and implement improvements or recommendations
    Attention to detail
    Able to work well with senior executives and team, as well as mentor/lead other team members
