- Conduct thorough assessments of clients' behavioral and developmental needs through observations, interviews, and data collection.
- Collaborate with caregivers, families, and other professionals to gather insights and develop holistic treatment plans tailored to each client's unique strengths and challenges.
- Implement behavior intervention strategies and techniques based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles to address target behaviors and skill deficits.
- Provide one-on-one therapy sessions, group sessions, and structured activities to teach essential life skills, social interactions, communication, and adaptive behaviors.
- Document and maintain accurate records of client progress, behavior plans, and treatment goals using standardized data collection methods.
- Regularly review and analyze data to make informed decisions about modifying intervention strategies and adapting treatment plans as necessary.
- Train and guide caregivers, families, and other team members on effective strategies for reinforcing positive behaviors and generalizing learned skills outside of therapy sessions.
- Maintain ethical and professional standards while adhering to relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines within the field of behavioral therapy.
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and ongoing professional development activities to stay current with the latest research and best practices in behavioral therapy.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers, educators, and professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to client care and continuity of services.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree is preferred but not necessary.
- Current certification as a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) is required. Or willing to obtain.
- Strong understanding of behavioral theories, positive reinforcement strategies, and behavior modification techniques.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
