- Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience in lieu of college degree.
- 2-4 years of experience in litigation/litigation support, data discovery, litigation project management, and e-discovery processing and review technologies.
- Familiarity with eDiscovery review and/or collection tools would be a plus.
- Proficient in using Excel and other M365 applications.
- Some knowledge of the EDRM, and the eDiscovery life cycle.
- Understanding of basic legal terminology.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with legal and technical teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple projects with frequently changing priorities and deadlines.
- The eDiscovery Specialist (eDS) will partner with an eDiscovery Project Manager to provide support throughout the entire eDiscovery life cycle for litigation, subpoenas, and investigative matters.
- The eDS will assist in the preservation, collection, and review of electronic documents and data, as well as data processed for hard copy materials, with a focus on carefully tracking each step in the process.
- They will help facilitate communication and collaboration among in-house legal teams, vendors, outside counsel legal teams, and support staff.
- The selected candidate for this contractor position could be assigned to multiple matters or a long-standing docket where daily assistance is required. Currently, this position is a full-time contractor assignment without a specific end date. This is a great position for someone newer to eDiscovery with basic knowledge of the profession, and a desire to gain experience while working with experienced eDiscovery Project Managers and Legal Professionals.
- Assist in the collection and processing of electronic documents and data using tools such as M365 Purview, Nuix Discover, and/or Relativity.
- Carefully monitor and track each step of the eDiscovery process for each matter.
- Help plan, coordinate, execute, and deliver productions and project deliverables correctly and on time.
- Provide support and training for Tier 1 document review attorneys service providers.
- Coordinate and collaborate with internal teams on the acquisition of ESI as needed.
- Help manage projects and relationships with third party partners, by overseeing and delegating various tasks.
- Identify and escalate issues and risks as appropriate.
