    Our Auburn Hills, MI location is seeking an Engineering Manager to join our safety and Motion Team. The ideal candidate has experience in leading R&D Functions within the Integrated Project Team in front of the customer.

    The main tasks of the position are:
    Drive the completion of Engineering Milestones on the product level based on PLC for every development iteration
    Lead successful implementation of all technical requirements in product (concept, prototypes, testing, manufacturability) and process area
    Report and present the engineering project status in accordance with the valid tool and process set, including the requirements status, requirements traceability, and requirements test status
    Support and attend customer and internal audits
    Escalate issues if necessary. Prepare decision options for management escalations
    Presentation of project status/results and CR/PR/Project metrics status to the customer
    Identifies needed resources for projects, defines and assigns major project roles. Monitors the product/program/project from initiation through delivery, interfacing with external customers or field-based employees on technical matters, as needed.
    Plan all engineering work packages (project schedule), pushing update of resource management tool
    Define strategy with cross-functional teams to prevent project technical risks.
    Manage customers in case of escalations or critical technical risks that can not be managed by TPL.
    Lead and coordinate technical project teams

    Participate in creating quotes/offers in regards to technical concept, BOM, schedule, financial calculation/ pricing, make-or-buy decisions and support of customer presentation.


    Basic Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Engineering
    7 years of experience in Automotive Engineering
    Experience in Technical Risk Management and Product Compliance.
    Experience managing a diverse team both international and domestic
    Understanding of Continental's internal policies
    Leadership experience and Project Management Procedures
    Technical Knowledge in Friction Brakes, NVH, System and SW
    Experience working in EMB (Electromechanical Braking System)
    Exposure to Project Financial Management
    ability to travel 10% annually

    Preferred Qualifications:
    Master's degree in Engineering
    10 years of experience in Automotive Engineering
    Experience in Friction Coupling and NVH process
    Experience working with OEMS and Ford
