    JOB SUMMARY:

    The Spa Director is responsible for all spa, salon, and spa retail offerings, as well as wellness activations at the hotel.He/she will lead and create standards for the day-to-day operations of the Spa while promoting growth and profitability. Effectively manage operational aspects of the spa to include adequate staffing levels, complete financial management duties including budgeting, forecasting, payroll, and scheduling, as well as product inventory and ordering, establishing and maintaining a high level of customer service based on The Palms hotels' principles. Will oversee the Spa Front Desk, Massage Therapists, Estheticians, and other staff, including freelance fitness/yoga instructors, ensuring proper techniques and service standards are met.     MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • the facility's daily operations, emphasizing guest service, cleanliness, safety, and fiscal responsibility (i.e., staffing, payroll, expenses, and revenue generation).
    • in the development and oversee the implementation of the spa operating budget
    • and increase spa revenue
    • train, develop, and coach all staff
    • the facility and its services to hotel guests and solicit, sell, and service outside memberships
    • as the primary representative of the hotel in all sales interactions with outside clients, internal guests, and group contacts
    • and coordinates new services, activities, programs and packages
    • review the pricing and services offered by the spa to maintain a competitive position within the market
    • plan, and execute marketing plans and strategies
    • and execution of all internal promotions, including follow-up analysis
    • and plan all wellness activations at the hotel, including yoga, meditation, fitness classes
    • retail operations and all spa-related merchandise
    • the fitness center is clean and all equipment operational
    • the highest level of customer service and guest satisfaction according to the standards set forth by The Palms Hotel and Spa

    OTHER DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • compliance with health and sanitation policies in all areas
    • to all fire, safety, and security procedures according to hotel policy
    • to all sustainability guidelines as per the Inspired by Nature Program.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

    A minimum of 3 to 5 years of management experience in a high-quality Luxury Spa facility, either as an independent or in a hospitality setting.

    Strong leadership, financial and analytical skills

    Must be experienced and knowledgeable of spa operations and current trends

    Excellent customer service and problem-solving acumen

    Experience in Spa Marketing, including product launches and strategies, preferably in the local market

    Excellent communication skills (the ability to speak another language is a plus)

    Strong Microsoft Suite knowledge (Word, Excel, and Outlook)

    Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

    Strong attention to detail and follow-up

    Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural team environment

    Ability to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, ever-changing environment

    Show genuine care for all co-workers and guest(s)

    Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times

    Education/Certifications

    BA/BS in relevant field and or equivalent experience.

    AVEDA knowledge is highly preferred

    WORK CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    • Ability to stand and walk over long periods of time
    • Able to lift unassisted 30 lbs.
    • Typically located in a comfortable area. There may be regular exposure to mild discomfort from factors such as dust, odors, extreme temperature, inclement weather, noise, or lights.
