    Principal Responsibilities:

    Overview and History:

    The Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County (JFPBC)is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming, inspiring, and saving lives in the Palm Beaches and 70 countries. Each year, JFPBC inspires thousands of community members to contribute, volunteer, and participate in programs to fund more than 40 agencies. The Mandel JCC located on 2 campuses in Palm Beach Gardens and Boynton Beach, is one of these agencies. The JCC builds community and enhances connections to Jewish life through its wide array of programs including early childhood centers, after school programs, sports leagues, Jewish film, and cultural programs and summer camps.

    JFPBC and the Mandel JCC seek a Director of Agencies & Programs to collaborate with JCC and Federation professionals and lay leaders to drive philanthropic growth for the JCC in the greater Palm Beaches. Working closely with the JCC CEO, the ideal candidate will apply relationship-focused strategies to foster connections with new donors, nurture existing relationships as well as advise and partner with the JCC CEO to fulfill fundraising goals. In partnership with colleagues and volunteers, the Director creates personalized solicitation strategies, stewardship plans, and ambassador assignments for top-tier donors. This integral role also works closely with JCC program staff to secure corporate sponsorships designated for key agency activities.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Collaborate and support the JCC CEO on all development activity and operations; support leaders and ambassadors managing $1,000+ donor relationships.
    • Provide professional leadership to the JCC Development Committee
    • In collaboration with the JCC CEO, formulate comprehensive fundraising strategies including donor recognition programs, major donor cultivation, grants, and community outreach.
    • Partner with JCC program staff to identify and implement fundraising and sponsorship opportunities that align with donor interests and involvement.
    • Provide development operations support and liaise with the JCC and Federation finance teams on gift processing, acknowledgments, and donor communications, as well as development revenue budgeting reforecasting, tracking, and reporting.
    • Oversee the Corporate Relations contractor to engage corporate sponsors and partner with Grants Manager to maximize funding opportunities.
    • Engage in strategic long-term planning for capital and endowment development for growth and stability of the Mandel JCC
    Coordinate with Federation's Campaign team to integrate comprehensive solicitation plans to yield designated gifts to the Mandel JCC and Federation campaigns.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Qualifications and Skills:
    • Bachelor's degreerequired
    • 3+ years experience in fundraising, a related field,or relevant skillsrequired
    • JCC experience preferred
    • Proactive, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
    • Analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking, and planning skills
    • Varied solicitation, donorcultivation, and stewardship experience
    • Strong interpersonal skillsand ability to develop excellent relationships with internal and external colleagues and stakeholders
    • Strong attention to detail; able to organize, prioritize, and execute responsibilities as well as manage multiple projects simultaneously
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Strong knowledge of business technology, fundraising database (Blackbaud), and data analysis skills required
    • Passion for the Jewish community, Israel, and familiarity with Jewish calendar and lifecycle
    Salary:

    $85,000 - $95,000
