    Description

    Payroll Assistant

    Onsite Role in Bartow, Florida

    Hourly Rate: $16 per hour

    Duration: Around 2 months - Assignment falls in the summer months & attendance is crucial

    Shift: Monday to Thursday - 7am to 5pm

    Work Setting: Professional Office environment, involves mainly sitting, lifting, carrying, and moving objects weighing up to 20 lbs.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assisting in collecting and entering payroll data
    • Acting as a backup for school personnel when needed
    • Checking and inputting one-time payments into the system
    • Managing employees' direct deposits, tax status, and payroll deductions in the system
    • Addressing employees' inquiries and conducting necessary research
    • Organizing and preparing paychecks for distribution, requiring signature on receipts
    • Ensuring proper document retention
    • Keeping track of office supplies inventory

    Requirements:

    • High school diploma or equivalent qualification
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Previous experience in Payroll tasks
    • Professional background dealing with internal and external clients (customer-facing)
    • Proficiency in 10-key data entry
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Office software
    • Experience with SAP systems
    • Capability to sit for extended periods and lift objects weighing up to 20 lbs
