Description

The Warehouse Associate will assist with warehouse operations which include extensive product handling; pulling orders, restocking and assisting in the repack area as needed. This position will be based out of the Grand Island, Nebraska Oil Warehouse.

Operate a forklift and manual pallet jack.
Pull orders, loading and unloading trucks.
Responsible for packaging bulk oil in drums and pails as needed.
Cleaning duties will include sweeping floors and keeping vehicles clean inside and out.
Monitors work to ensure quality and looks for ways to improve and promote efficiency and customer service.
Respond promptly to customer needs, requests for service and assistance, and meets commitments.
Observe and adhere to safety and security procedures.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications/Preferenc e : An individual must be able to perform or learn these essential duties satisfactorily. The list below is representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities required and/or preferred.

Write clearly and informatively and be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Basic math skills required.
Must be able to operate a forklift and manual pallet jack and have or become certified in forklift operation, and other mechanical and warehouse equipment.
Experience using computers including email, and other applications.

The employee is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl frequently. Exert lbs. of force occasionally and/or 25-50 lbs. of force frequently and/or 10 to 20 lbs. of force constantly. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
