    The Cyber & Intelligence (C&I) team is responsible for MasterCard's safety and security related product development efforts to protect the integrity of the electronic payment system as well as ensure payments are convenient yet secure. Identity CheckTM from C&I is Mastercard's global authentication solution based on the EMV 3-D Secure protocol and Mastercard state-of-art authentication intelligence. It is designed to help provide security for digital transactions and facilitate higher approval rates, by improving the authentication experience for merchants, issuers, and cardholders for e-commerce transactions.

    The C&I Product Engineering for Identity Check is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to provide people leadership, product delivery, and operations escalation support for the mission-critical, world class enterprise applications that enable Mastercard Identity CheckTM.

    Role:
    • Recruit and hire the right talent.
    • Set expectations and goals for individual staff members.
    • Perform performance reviews and coach employees.
    • Lead and manage software development scrum teams over full SDLC, leveraging agile development principles, advanced development, and design practices, with an obsession over security, reliability, performance, and operability to deliver solutions that customers love.
    • Research software development options and provides analysis for product development direction.
    • Build a culture of trust, ownership, and purpose.
    • Insist on a culture of continuous integration, automation and minimizing blast radius.
    • Collaborate with teams across the organization to mitigate risk and resolve dependencies.
    • Work closely with Product Management, Product Development, software architects and technical program managers during product ideation, elaboration, design, and delivery.
    • Act as an SME and service leader of service areas.
    • Exercise independent judgment and discretion and play active roles on decision makings over own service areas.
    • Help to ensure operations excellency and optimal customer experience through operations enablement and escalation support.
    All About You:
    • Experience and successful record managing large and complex software development, delivery, and support.
    • High-energy, detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptive in a dynamic environment.
    • People management experience with multiple teams with on/offshore resourcing models.
    • Ability to drive results while being resourceful and tactful within a corporate environment.
    • Sound technical knowledge of software development technologies & lifecycle including web apps, Rest APIs, microservices, and infrastructure components.
    • Experience evaluating complex strategic initiatives, facilitating, influencing, and contributing to design.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to identify key issues, structure analysis and synthesize data, and provide recommendations effectively.
    • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, team oriented, collaborative, and flexible.
    • Effective interpersonal, listening, oral, written and presentation skills.
    • Strong business acumen and ability to develop strategic points of view and facilitate discussion.
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
    Preferred experience and knowledge in these areas:
    • Card payments industry experience, especially EMV 3DS Secure.
    • SAFe or agile software development methodology.
    • Java/J2EE/Angular based applications.
    • Infrastructure, networking, and cloud-based architecture (AWS, Azure etc).
    • Operations escalation support.
    • DevOPS/SRE practices.
    • Secure coding techniques and practices.
