    The Senior Marketing Manager for Microbiome is responsible for supporting the creation of market strategies, solutions and executing the tactics required to drive the growing global microbiome market.

    This person will strategically lead on-market activities (including global market plan development, sales training, targeting, messaging, positioning, and collateral development), and determine new opportunities.

    The successful candidate will be a highly independent, seasoned veteran who can creatively lead cross-functional programs while building best-in-class marketing capabilities in a novel space.

    Job ResponsibilitiesDevelops and drives Infectious Disease & Microbiology global marketing strategy through the Microbiology Research and Microbiome space; partners with Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Regional Marketing teams to lay the foundation for new product entries and partnerships, and to manage current portfolioWorks in tandem with regional marketing and sales organization to ensure alignment of strategy, messaging, and tacticsPartners with internal and external agency teams to develop marketing content (campaigns, positioning, messaging, etc.)Collaborates deeply with upstream marketing and product management on VOC, product design inputs, and launch strategyBuilds close relationships with key customers, thought leaders, and industry influencers to stay abreast of emerging market trends and regulatory guidanceCollaboratively works with the marketing leadership team and functional management to drive the business strategyJob RequirementsA minimum of 5 years experience, at least 3 in product management, marketing or commercial role in life science.

    Hands-on experience and deep expertise in molecular technologies and Infectious Disease / Microbiology/Microbiome and NGS workflowsExperience with NGS workflows.
    Experience in ushering products from concept to launch; opportunity assessment and portfolio management of research and clinical products.
    Experience with genomics markets and/or diagnostics product lines is strongly preferred.

    Location at San Diego HQ is strongly preferredEducation:

    BS required, preferred but not required Masters/PhD/MBAThe estimated base salary range for the Senior Marketing Manager, Infectious Disease & Microbiology role based in the United States of America is: $105,600 - $158,400.

    Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly.

    Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individuals qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data.

    Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
