    CNC MACHINIST –


    CNC MILLING

    REPORTS TO:
    MANUFACTURING SUPERVISOR – MACHINE SHOP


    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
     Be fully knowledgeable in all phases of clamping and work holding utilizing a vertical or horizontal CNC milling machine including boring, drilling, tapping and milling.
     Be familiar with G codes and M codes as they relate to machining. Must be able to perform edits and offsets as required. Must be willing to be trained on CNC programming as required by the company.
     Be familiar with different alloy materials and the tooling, speeds and feeds required for machining the different alloys.
     Possess the math skills to calculate angles, diameters and any other equations required to accomplish machining tasks.
     Be able to read and understand complex blueprints and written work orders that accompany every job.
     Be able to set-up and machine, (Including feeds, speeds, and tool selection), parts or weldments with complex machining requirements.
     Be able to fill out daily time slips accurately for labor reporting purposes.
     Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times.
     Do routine oiling and/or lubrication as instructed by supervisor / maintenance.
     Responsible for machining parts within the routed time frame, or notifying the supervisor if the workorder time and/or sequence of operation on the workorder is incorrect.
     Have own tools that accommodate set-up, deburring, tool changing and measuring for all phases of operation.
     On occasion other job duties as assigned by your supervisor.
     Be proficient in the use of overhead cranes.
