Job Description:
Schedule Shift is Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
General Responsibilities:
- Promote a safe workplace and follow all established work policies.
- Perform daily production tasks as assigned by supervisor, brush trimming, bagging, etc.
- Perform quality control checks of brushes in process and as final inspection.
- Operate production machines i.e., gab sealer, washing machine, cutting equipment, mounting equipment, flow-through system, CRO, core welder, core cleaning system.
- Package and label products
- Assist Leads and team with the operation of Cleanroom equipment to produce PVA sponge product meeting product specifications.
- Follow established process operating and safety procedures.
- Package and label products.
- Other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Ability to see at distance of 20 inches or less to inspect and adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus.
- Ability to use tweezers to remove dirt particles from product.
- Ability to read and work from work instructions and drawings.
- Ability to follow written instructions.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Average computer skills.
- Ability to work as a team member.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Safety conscious mindset.
Physical Demands:
- Lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
- Required to work on feet 10-12 hours per shift.
- Fast paced work environment.
- Prolonged stretches of sitting and/or standing.
- Visual inspection of product consists of ongoing hand/arm movement, moderate eye strain, and lifting of bulk bundled product to and from staging racks: 5 – 15 pounds.
- Operation of product uniformity measuring tool includes constant opening/closing of clamshell packaging and movement of product storage bins: 10 – 20 pounds.
- Cutting product from raw form to customer specifications includes constant hand/arm movements and lifting of bulk bundled product: 10 – 20 pounds.
- Packaging of product requires operation of heat-sealing equipment consisting of ongoing movements of hands at waist level and feet for petal activation. Movement of bulk bundled product to and from staging racks is included: 15 – 30 pounds.
- Operation of production tool for mandrel application requires excessive hand/arm movements and moving of bulk binned mandrels: 15 – 40 pounds.
- Mandrel cleaning process consists of ongoing hand/arm movements, bending at the waist, and movement of bulk binned mandrels. 15 – 40 pounds.
- Product conditioning/cleaning requires ongoing movement of hands/arms at and above shoulder level, bending, and reaching to load and unload product from production tools. Product is handled individually weighing under 2 pounds each.
- Regular attendance is required.
Compensation Information:
Starting wage is $ $22.90.
