Job Description
The co-op/intern will assist the Industrial Engineering/Lean Team with: continuous improvement, visual factory, 6S, time studies, facility layouts, kaizen events, and other industrial engineering related projects.
Qualifications
Position Overview
The position will report into and support the Industrial Engineering/Lean Team.
In this role the main responsibilities will be:
Work with Cross Functional Teams to Implement Improvements
Conduct Process Observations and Time Studies
Assist with Planning for Facility Layout Changes
Implement 6S and Visual Factory
Assist with Value Stream Mapping and Documenting Current State Flows
Participate in Kaizen Events

Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Pursuing a Bachelor's or Advanced Degree in Industrial Engineering or Related Discipline
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong Organizational Skills
Excellent Communication Skills
Passion for Lean Manufacturing
Knowledge of AutoCAD
Previous Co-Op/Internship Experience or Previous Work Experience
Additional Information
For New York, the expected salary range for this position is between $18.00 and $26.00 per hour. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.
