    Job Title: Automation Engineer

    Location: Athens, GA, on-site.

    Job Type: Direct hire, full time

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide production support to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
    • Serve as the last line of defense for all production issues, promptly addressing and resolving any issues that arise.
    • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of production issues.
    • Program and maintain robotics systems, with a focus on Kuka Robots, to optimize production efficiency.
    • Troubleshoot PLCs, particularly Allen Bradley PLCs, to ensure proper functioning of automated equipment.
    • Oversee the preventive maintenance (PM) schedule to ensure timely maintenance of equipment and systems.
    • Conduct data analysis on plant equipment performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
    • Assist in the planning and execution of capital projects related to automation and process improvement.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred.
    • 5 years of experience in automation engineering within a manufacturing environment.
    • Proficiency in programming robotics systems, with specific experience in Kuka Robots preferred.
    • Strong troubleshooting skills, particularly in diagnosing and resolving issues with PLCs, especially Allen Bradley PLCs.
    • Experience overseeing preventive maintenance schedules and conducting root cause analysis.
    • Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation, with the ability to identify trends and make data-driven decisions.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
