    Responsibilities of the Customer Service Representative include, but are not limited to:

    • Answers phones, transfers calls to proper extensions, takes messages for employees
    • Receives and sends fax
    • Troubleshoots problems with office equipment
    • Arranges hotel accommodations for occasional business guests
    • Generates reports for the sales team and updates information in both business programs used by the members of the sales team
    • Remains knowledgeable and follows directives regarding call management; proper handling of calls, proper call transferring, who is most appropriate manager depending upon nature of the call
    • Performs general office work (filing, sorting, computer work, etc.); assist with mailings as requested
    • Handles special projects as assigned
    • Data entry into Zoho and Sampro
    • Monitors and maintains gross margin within pump and filtration departments sales transactions
    • Quotes consumables and parts to Process filtration and pump customers and distributors
    • Maintains and executes monthly invoicing of parts and service in the Process Filtration Department
    • Vendor relations, building, developing and maintaining a support network with suppliers and service providers
    • Responsible for building own knowledge base to transition to an Applications Department
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications of the Customer Service Representative include, but are not limited to:

    • 1-2+ years experience as an office manager, administrative assistant, or accounting clerk
    • Basic accounting knowledge
    • Hands-on experience with office machines (e.g. copy machines and printers)
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
    • Knowledgeable with communication systems such as telephone, switchboard, intercom, etc.
    • Knowledge of Sampro and Zoho is a plus
    • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
    • Good organizational and multitasking abilities
    • Problem-solving skills
    • An aptitude towards customer service

    Additional Information:

    Physical Demand: This is mostly a sedentary role; however, some walking and filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. Also, must be able to bend, stoop and reach.

    Working Conditions: Normal office conditions. May have to deal with intense situations at times. Must maintain a professional demeanor at all times

    Training/Certifications: Supervisor is normally available for help/advice. Training provided as needed

    Shift Time/Overtime: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

    Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
